Classes: Juniors
A program for 6.5 - 8.5 year old boys and girls
Firebird Dance Studio's Juniors program continues to develop the dance abilities of both new and continuing dancers, and begins to introduce more technique and more choreography in this fun and dynamic class. Students learn ballroom and Latin dance, barre technique, international world dance, and original choreography. The Juniors program helps to improve the student's ability as a performer, and we give them several opportunities each year to take their new skills to the stage, such as in dance festivals and last season's new show, Simcha!
Class Times
Because of the number of students in the Juniors classes, we have expanded the program to allow more classes and more individual attention. The Juniors are split into Group A and B. Each group rehearses separately once a week, as well as rehearsing at combined rehearsals once a week. The Juniors group also has a class once a week just for girls and just for boys to focus on specific techniques and movements.
Tuesdays, 6:15pm - 7:00pm Group "A" (ballroom)
Tuesdays, 7:00pm - 7:45pm Group "B" (ballroom)
Saturdays, 11:30pm - 12:00pm Boys Class* Groups "A" and "B" (boys' dance technique and tricks)
Saturdays, 12:00pm - 1:00pm*,** Groups "A" and "B" All Students (choreographed dances in different dance styles)
Saturdays, 1:00pm - 1:30pm Girls Class** Groups "A" and "B" (girls' dance technique)
