Children's Dance Retreat 2007
June 23–30, 2007, Oregon
Firebird Dance School students ages 8–15 had the opportunity last summer to camp, swim, fish, horseback ride, and of course, dance in Firebird's exciting 2007 summer dance retreat. This year, the dancers learned new choreography with multiple daily rehearsals in a beautiful studio facility with the natural surroundings of Oregon lakes, woods, and mountains as the backdrop.
Quintessence Premiere

Artistic Director, Lotta Burton's, newest creation, Quintessence premiered in June of 2007. This ambitious new show was about the elements of earth, air, fire, water, and child, and reinvented traditional Russian dance, music and clownery to create something truly unique. The two back-to-back performances, in Berkeley's famous Zellerbach Hall and the College of San Mateo Theater, were met with cheers and standing ovations.
We're very excited to announce that two more performances of Quintessence are just around the corner. For those who didn't see the premieres in June, this is your chance to see what you've been missing! For those who have already experienced Quintessence, see it again like you've never seen it before, this time featuring the infamous rock-and-roll band, the Red Elvises for the first time! Russian-American Fair 2007

Firebird Dance School and Firebird Dance Theatre were featured performers at 2007's Annual Russian-American Fair. Firebird is honored to have appeared at each year's fair since the first Palo Alto Russian-American Fair in the early 90's.
